THESSALY, Thessalian League. Circa 470s-460s BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15 mm, 2.90 g, 5 h). Forepart of horse emerging from rock galloping to right. Rev. ΦE-TA Grain ear in husk; all within incuse square. BCD Thessaly II 12-13 var. (legend arrangement). Franke, Geschichte, 6-7 var. (legend arrangement). Nicely toned. Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, very fine.
